Mixing color with brush strokes, compositional studies, lighting and the discipline of changing light conditions will be explored. This will likely be his last visit as Elio is cutting back his workshop schedule to focus on painting.

Robert Warren, a professional artist for more than 30 years, opened his current studio, Robert Warren's Art Loft, in Canal Winchester, Ohio, in 1986. Robert, his wife Donna and their three children moved to Canal Winchester in 1991.
Robert majored in art at both Ohio University and Ohio State University. His ala prima style of painting and teaching are basically self-taught. He has produced more than 200 instructional art shows for television that have been broadcast for more than 10 years. He is seen worldwide on Cable Television and Public Broadcast Stations.

As a professional artist, Robert has taught classes worldwide. He has made complex subjects easy to understand, analyze, and paint in a very relaxed atmosphere. Technique videos are available in several areas of interest such as landscape, still life, and portraiture.
All supplies including canvas, paint, photographs and step by step instructions will be included. Students will only need general supplies such as brushes (he will forward a supply list later) paper towels, etc. He will use a digital projection system so all students gets close up view of the demo.
Three all new projects, complete with printed drawings, will be covered:
"Looking Back" 9 x 12 inches
Experience an acrylic value study with a luminous undertone to create this working cowboy. (no drawing skills necessary)
"Manatees" 16 x 20 inches
An intimate moment with mother and baby. A unique value study in acrylic helps create this underwater world.
"Delicate Roses" 12 x 16 inches
Learn an old masters style still life done with new techniques to create this sparkling and contrasting painting.
