Reveal your Inner Mermaid Collage
Paint with paper! Learn basic collage and decoupage techniques while creating a fun, mermaid-themed, mixed media work of art. Combine 'Found materials' (a variety of papers and other materials, shells, sequins, gems, printed words, and ink stamping to create a layered, one-of-a-kind composition. Instructor will provide tips for creating a balanced, pleasing composition and guide you through the assembly process. All materials needed to complete a collage piece will be provided. Feel free to bring your own shells, old jewelry or similar materials to include in your work of art.

Kate Phillips
Kate recently retired from a long career as a Graphic Artist. With extensive knowledge of computer graphics and digital design, Kate is now happily ‘off-line’ and rediscovering her love of hands-on, fine art. Working primarily in mixed media designing collages with paper and paint, she also continues to hone her skills in watercolor and acrylic painting.
