A painting media full of surprises! With every brush stroke watercolor painting stirs your imagination and a new learning experience emerges. Dan's watercolor class nurtures this experience. We paint watercolors to challenge all our innate artistic ability and have fun! Dan can steer you through the maze of techniques and demonstrations in every class. The goal of Dan's class is to stimulate your creativity to the point where homework can be fun. Drawing skills are not a requirement. Some basic drawing skills will be demonstrated in every class.

Dan Grimsich of Riverside, Connecticut, was born in Chicago and formally educated at the University of Illinois where he received his Bachelor and Masters degrees in Architecture. An architect by profession, he also studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago and the American Academy of Art. While Watercolor was always his preferred media, he pursued additional studies with the late Herb Olson of Westport, Connecticut. Dan Grimsich has taught classes at the Old Greenwich Community Center, the Norwalk Maritime Center, the Greenwich YWCA, his Studio, the Greenwich High School Adult Continuing Education, and currently at the Indian Rocks Beach Art Center in Florida. Dan has exhibited his paintings throughout the country and many of his works are included in corporate and private collections.
