BASICS OF DRAWING
Limited Series Class
with Doug Land
This short course will go over the basics of drawing for the beginning to advanced artist. Each class has several exercises and I will work with each student based on their experience level. I plan to go over use of pencils and the Elements of Art as we practice drawing a number of different subjects.
Each class will have instruction, handouts, practice time for drawing, my demonstrations and discussions and critiques.
All classes are unique from prior sessions. Additional drawing sessions will continue after the initial 3 weeks. These will be for students to work beyond the basics in materials, techniques and subject matter.

Student Supply List:
Yellow #2 pencil with eraser, pen, and white copy paper to the first class session.
Any further supplies will be discussed in class.
DOUGLAS LAND
St Petersburg, Florida
Doug Land is a professional artist living in St. Petersburg. His focus is drawing and instruction. He teaches drawing classes at several area locations, as well as judges shows and offers workshops and art demonstrations. In the recent past, Doug has been a court sketch artist for the media in the Tampa Federal Court. He helped develop the ART4ALL-PINELLAS website, as well as the annual figure drawing art copy book exchange, now in it's 14th year. Each month he also hosts a sketching in the galleries drawing session at the James Museum in St. Petersburg.
