Joye Moon

Saturday & Sunday

February 5th & 6th, 2022

9:00am-4:00pm

Fee: $225

Joye Moon's Watercolor Workshop will deal with exploring traditional and experimental watercolor techniques that can be incorporated into your individual style of painting.  Leave your preconceived ideas of abstract painting at home but do bring along an open mind and the willingness to experiment and have fun!

Joye will demonstrate every aspect of each project, breaking it down into segments so everyone can understand what the techniques are before actually painting on your own.  Joye prides herself in giving personal attention to each student and helping you grow as an artist from where you are at in your artistic journey. There will be an informative yet gentle critique at the end of each day so we can all learn from one another.

Joye will present a 2-day workshop dealing with watercolor techniques she has developed over her many years of painting. This workshop will be dedicated to one painting using a unique way to design and abstract a flower.  You will paint a traditional flower or cactus but will complete the painting using different substances such as salt, gauze, watercolor pencils, black paint and spraying paint. A major focus will be in design and creativity.

You are sure to leave this workshop with newly found techniques as well as a renewed creative enthusiasm for painting. This workshop is appropriate for painters at an advanced beginner and intermediate level.

"I hope you can join me at this fast paced workshop! I design the projects for success and tons of FUN!" - Joye

JOYE MOON

Watercolor

I feel it’s important for me to continually challenge myself by attempting to paint new subjects, create new techniques and experience different materials. Since I’m always pushing myself to learn more about the painting process, I am inspired to interpret the world in my own personal way. It also reinforces the fact that the world of art is endless and I must continue on my journey wherever it takes me”.
