Join us as we move thru lessons on painting water & reflections, sandy beaches, sawgrass & palm trees. We'll end with a final landscape painting (beach shanty, pier & pilings) that incorporates all elements practiced in the workshop. Participants will be provided references that include photos, sketches, and sample demo paintings. Plan to paint-along with each step in the instruction. This course will be broken up into four 3-hour segments with plenty of breaks.
*** This Workshop requires a Minimum Number of Students or it may be cancelled if the Minimum is not met one-week prior. Please Register before Feb 20th! ***
Note to Students: Participants will find it helpful if they already have their watercolor paper mounted on a lightweight board with a lightly drawn pencil sketch blocked out in advance so they are ready to paint and follow along over ZOOM.
All lesson subjects will be provided in advance. Have several pieces of watercolor paper prepped and ready as we will be doing a number of exercises that ultimately will lead up to doing a full painting in the final segment.
Note: This is an ONLINE course. You must register to receive the "invite" to join the course. We will use the application "ZOOM". You will need a computer, a tablet, or a smartphone in order to participate in the course.
Randy has had the good fortune of encouraging and promoting design throughout his storied career. A natural-born teacher, Randy is a seasoned watercolor workshop instructor. His
energy and enthusiasm come from sharing the many aspects of what should go into making a good painting. His rallying cry of “less is more” entreats painters to simplify, suggest, or imply –
letting water do the work to avoid overcomplication. Randy is equally at home in studio classroom settings or painting en plein air. He regularly takes groups of artists to exciting destinations around the world soaking up local color on fun-filled painting holidays. Come listen, watch, and paint along with Randy.
You’ll have a lot of fun along the way!
