This will be a "paint-along" tutorial in four 3-hour segments. Instructor will guide painters through four separate paintings. Painters will complete one painting during each segment. While each painting will be a different subject, instruction will cover a variety of watercolor techniques. Primary focus will be on use of negative shapes, lost & found edges, brush handling, and discovering glowing results when water moves pigment across a paper's surface to mix freely with other colors creating a fluid spontaneous result. We will have an opportunity for participants to share their work after each segment with the instructor providing comments, celebrating successes.

There will be a “sharing” segment at the end of each lesson in which each participants painting will get individually spotlighted for a few moments so the class can all view the painting while the instructor provides positive comments to celebrate each painter’s successes.

Randy has had the good fortune of encouraging and promoting design throughout his storied career. A natural-born teacher, Randy is a seasoned watercolor workshop instructor. His
energy and enthusiasm come from sharing the many aspects of what should go into making a good painting. His rallying cry of “less is more” entreats painters to simplify, suggest, or imply –
letting water do the work to avoid overcomplication. Randy is equally at home in studio classroom settings or painting en plein air. He regularly takes groups of artists to exciting destinations around the world soaking up local color on fun-filled painting holidays. Come listen, watch, and paint along with Randy.

You’ll have a lot of fun along the way!
