SPECIAL WORKSHOP
Fast and Fun Watercolor Art Journal

Students will create a 6"x6" art journal using watercolors as a foundation for additional art embellishments, line work and doodles. We will also learn to create die-cuts as embellishments. This course encourages fearless mark making and a playful spirit. At the end of the workshop each artist will have created something unique to them. It is designed so that students will continue to work in their journals long after the workshop has ended.

The instructor will provide watercolor paper, basic book binding supplies and a few supplies to share.  A familiarity in working with watercolor paints is helpful, but not required. No acrylic paint allowed.

Water, Coffee, Soda, and Snacks available by donation. Or bring your own.

Marilynne Wasielewski

Marilynne Wasielewski is an award-winning artist who is most inspired by the shapes, colors and textures of her natural surroundings and the play of light on all she sees. Her work is based in reality but painted in an expressionistic style. She is most interested in the creation process itself and works intuitively. This allows her to respond and make decisions about the direction of the work with freedom and spontaneity. She relocated to Tampa Bay, Florida from the New Jersey shore and holds a BS degree in Fine Art. She has also studied with many nationally respected artists including Pat Dews, Joan Fullerton, and Stephen Quiller. Marilynne serves on the Board of the Professional Association of Visual Artists and the Miniature Art Society of Florida. She is a member of Studio 1212 Art Gallery, Florida Watercolor Society, Dunedin Fine Art Center, Morean Art Center and the Beach Art Center.
