Learn the foundational skills of drawing still life objects with accuracy and depth. Through hands-on practice, you’ll explore the different types of pencils and their uses, learn to draw angles and proportions correctly, and develop techniques for capturing light and shadow. The class also covers effective shading methods, including when and how to use blending tools to create smooth transitions and realistic forms. By the end of the course, students will have a stronger understanding of drawing fundamentals and the ability to bring still life subjects to life on paper.

Kimberly Boshears
I began creating art at 10 years old, learning to draw, and throughout high school I took every art class available. I have my AS degree in Commercial Art as well as Digital Graphic Arts. I worked in the field as an Art Director for a large marketing firm while living for a brief two years in New Jersey. I moved back to my hometown of Pinellas County in 2003 and began teaching art to individual students, as well as owning my own traveling canvas business called Creating with Kimberly. I now have a working studio in St. Pete where I create many different art pieces. I work in many mediums.
