Let’s Paint! – Oil and Impasto

Learning Objectives —1:


In this introductory session, students will learn the basics of working with oil paint and impasto medium utilizing brushes and pallet knifes to create a beautiful, full-size painting in just three hours. They’ll discover how to layer paint to bring texture, color, and interest to their artwork.  


Learning Objectives —2:

Let’s Paint! will offer a relaxed, encouraging environment where students can express themselves creatively. By the end of the session, participants will leave with a finished, unique painting—and a sense of accomplishment and confidence to continue their artistic journey.

Future workshops in the Let’s Paint! series will explore a variety of subjects and techniques, ensuring each session is a new and exciting experience for returning students.

Chrissy Samson

Chrissy Samson is an award-winning artist specializing in portraiture and landscapes echoing timeless techniques of the old masters. Her work is distinguished by an eclectic style that combines classical precision with profound emotional depth.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, as well as being a distinguished CRI®, Certified Bob Ross Instructor, Chrissy's expertise and passion for art has made her a trusted mentor giving lessons to countless students. As an educator, Chrissy is celebrated for her engaging approach, technical mastery and dedication to fostering creativity in every student.

Chrissy's paintings have won awards and been placed in publications throughout her career. She currently holds workshops in Indian Rocks beach and Palm Harbor, Florida.

Parking:

Parking is available in front of the building, at Kolb Park across the street, and in the grassy area behind our building.  Students may also park in the lot between our building and the Indian Rocks Beach Library even though signs say

"City Hall Parking Only."

Please do not park in the paved spaces behind our building that are reserved for "City Vehicles Only."
