ART ON THE ROCKS

Loose Valentine Roses for Watercolor Beginners

Marina Richmond

Beginner, All Levels

$40 members/$45 non-members

February 7, 2026

1:00 - 4:00 PM

Students will be introduced to the foundational principles of watercolor using a simple, limited three-color palette to help beginners understand water control, transparency, and color mixing without feeling overwhelmed. Students will practice basic washes, gradients, and wet-on-wet techniques using a guided worksheet before applying these skills to their final artwork. Finally, we will paint loose roses together, suitable as a Valentine's gift or keepsake. No prior drawing experience is required, the goal is for every participant to leave with a piece they are proud of, regardless of skill level. Valentine’s Day theme makes this class ideal for couples, Galentine's friends outings, or solo attendees looking for a relaxed creative evening.

Location: Beach Art Center: 1515 Bay Palm Blvd Indian Rocks Beach
