Wire-Wrapped Sea Glass Jewelry

In this beginner's jewelry making class, you'll learn the basic steps of wire wrapping sea glass, beach stones or beads to create eye-catching pendants. You'll also learn how to add embellishments like swirls, layered swirls, seed beads and charms to create unique necklaces. You'll make 2-3 pendant necklaces plus a wire wrapped sea glass keychain. You'll also learn how to work with standard jewelry making tools, as well as discovering how to choose the best wire for your projects, and all about wire gauges and soft versus hard metals for wire wrapping projects.

Meet your Instructor

Elizabeth Mason

Originally from England, Elizabeth has lived and worked in five countries and loves to travel and explore new places. This fabulous mix of experiences, influences and cultures have inspired her creatively through many artistic passions, especially jewelry making, painting and photography. Elizabeth’s designs are largely coastal-inspired. She uses seaglass, shells and other beach-finds as well as her photographs to create jewelry and ornaments.

Elizabeth decided to pursue her jewelry passion full time in 2018 and had a studio at the Institute for Creative Arts in downtown Dunedin, FL until 2024, where she created and sold her work as well as taught jewelry making classes. Her work is represented in several stores in the U.S. and is available online at Ejmdesigns.etsy.com. Elizabeth loves sharing her passion for creativity and continues to teach jewelry and ornament making workshops at venues across the Tampa Bay area, as well as teaching private classes. Her classes allow attendees to learn new techniques, explore their creativity and enjoy the process of designing and developing pieces they will wear and enjoy for years.

Parking:

Parking is available in front of the building, at Kolb Park across the street, and in the grassy area behind our building.  Students may also park in the lot between our building and the Indian Rocks Beach Library even though signs say

"City Hall Parking Only."

Please do not park in the paved spaces behind our building that are reserved for "City Vehicles Only."
