This show is our most highly anticipated of the year!  The beautiful combination of local artwork and thought-provoking poetry makes for a very special show.  Artists submit their work and Poets from our local area (and across the U.S.) choose a piece of artwork to write about.

There is no special theme for this show. We invite you to put your creativity to work. Our poet friends will be invited to walk the show and select a piece that inspires them to write.

Art will be judged, and cash and ribbon awards will be presented at the reception.

The Beach Art Center welcomes Creative Pinellas and the Cultural Planning Group for a special COMMUNITY DISCUSSION about the future of arts in Pinellas County from 4:30-5:45pm (right before our POETRY IN MOTION Gallery Reception).

If you live, work, and play in Pinellas County – join our group discussion and provide your ideas and input to help shape the future of Pinellas County’s ARTS and CULTURE through the "CURRENT" Cultural Plan. YOUR VOICE MATTERS!

Creative Pinellas and the Cultural Planning Group are conducting a countywide cultural plan to support our artists, arts organizations, and residents, as well as the many visitors who come to vacation in the Arts Coast.

Gallery Reception - 6:00pm-8:00pm

Awards will be presented to Gallery Artists.

We will hear Poems read aloud by some of our Poets.

Open to Everyone - please join us!

BAC Member: $15/piece

Non-Member: $20/piece

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Before submitting your work you must review the Standard Gallery Requirements by clicking the button below.  Artwork that does not conform to our requirements may not be accepted.

All work is expected to remain on display until the closing of the show or until it sells.  (Purchasers of artwork will be asked to leave the artwork until the conclusion of the show if possible.)
