This is a beginner friendly class teaching you
2 simple scenery paintings: An ocean scene with beach and gulls, and a grassy meadow with a tree and some sheep. We’ll go over some techniques and tips for the different components in the pieces all along the way.
Students are also welcome to bring their own painting projects to get
guidance and critique on painting scenery.
All supplies are included, if you wish to use your own, please also bring a table covering.
Class level & age restrictions: Beginner Ages 13+ (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. If the adult wishes to participate they must also register)

Meet your Instructor
Marina Richmond
Marina Richmond is a watercolor and ink artist based in Pinellas County, Florida, whose work emphasizes strong color theory, controlled technique, and intentional mark-making. Her practice spans botanical studies, portraiture, landscapes, and illustrative work, with a focus on understanding how pigment, water, and paper interact. As an instructor, Marina is known for breaking complex watercolor concepts into clear, structured steps, helping beginners build confidence while learning medium fundamentals. She has a BFA from Pratt Institute, is actively exhibiting and teaching community classes designed to make watercolor accessible.
