Join us for a fun, hands-on painting experience designed for artists of all levels—even complete beginners! In Let’s Paint!, you’ll learn how to build a beautiful painting from the ground up using two complementary mediums: acrylics for the underpainting and oils for the final layers.
We’ll begin by creating an acrylic underpainting that focuses on value—the foundation of light and shadow that brings depth, richness, and structure to any artwork. Then, we’ll transition to oil paints, where you’ll learn basic techniques, how to use oil painting mediums, and how to apply luminous color over your value study. You’ll follow step-by-step instruction, and every student will leave with their own personalized version of the class painting example.
No prior experience is required, just a willingness to give it a try, explore, and paint!
All materials are provided.
Come ready to relax, learn, and create something you’ll be proud to take home!
This class is open to all levels, ages 13+ with parental supervision.

Chrissy Samson
Chrissy Samson is an award-winning artist specializing in portraiture and landscapes echoing timeless techniques of the old masters. Her work is distinguished by an eclectic style that combines classical precision with profound emotional depth.
With over 20 years of teaching experience, as well as being a distinguished CRI®, Certified Bob Ross Instructor, Chrissy's expertise and passion for art has made her a trusted mentor giving lessons to countless students. As an educator, Chrissy is celebrated for her engaging approach, technical mastery and dedication to fostering creativity in every student.
Chrissy's paintings have won awards and been placed in publications throughout her career. She currently holds workshops in Indian Rocks beach and Palm Harbor, Florida.
