Colorful Pet Portraits

Create a vibrant, one-of-a-kind portrait of your favorite pet! In this fun and beginner-friendly acrylic painting class, instructor Shawn Dell Joyce will guide you step-by-step through the process of painting a colorful pet portrait. Along the way, you'll learn essential art techniques including brushwork, color mixing, and value using an easy-to-follow "paint by numbers" approach.


Each participant will complete and take home an 11" x 14" acrylic-on-canvas pet portrait. All materials are provided, and no previous painting experience is necessary.


Please note: a $10 supply fee will be added at registration. This will bring the total cost to $50 for members and $55 for non-members.


To ensure your canvas is ready for class, all canvases will be pre-sketched from your pet photo. Please email or text your photo by October 16, 2026, to:

Parking:

Parking is available in front of the building, at Kolb Park across the street, and in the grassy area behind our building.  Students may also park in the lot between our building and the Indian Rocks Beach Library even though signs say

"City Hall Parking Only."

Please do not park in the paved spaces behind our building that are reserved for "City Vehicles Only."
