Let’s Paint! Oil & Impasto – The Old Mill in the Valley is a three-hour oil painting workshop designed for beginners as well as seasoned artists looking to explore painting and impasto techniques. Students will create a lush woodland landscape featuring a serene blue sky, majestic pine trees, a whispering stream, and an old, rugged water mill nestled in a peaceful valley. The workshop emphasizes texture, composition, and expressive brushwork, while introducing the exciting possibilities of palette knife painting. Students will gain confidence working with oil paints, learn how to lightly sketch a composition using brush and paint (mill will be pre-sketched), understand basic color mixing, explore impasto techniques, and create a finished landscape painting while experiencing the fun and relaxation of painting in a supportive environment. Join us for an afternoon of painting. All materials are included in the registration fee; advance registration is required due to limited seating and prepared materials.

Class level & age restrictions: All levels, age 13+ w/parental supervision. If the parent wishes to participate, they must also register.
