What You'll Learn & Explore

• Collage Fundamentals: Learn to layer and combine decorative papers, fabrics, found objects, and even pieces of your previous artwork.

• Mixed Media Techniques: Experiment with gelli plates, stamps, monoprinting, and acrylic painting to create interesting textures and effects.

• Drawing Methods: Explore two approaches using your own photographs: the grid method for creating freehand drawings at any size and a tracing method ideal for smaller compositions or beginners.

• Composition & Creative Expression: Discover how to combine materials, imagery, and techniques to develop artwork that reflects your individual style.

  
  

Two Days of Creative Exploration

Day 1 – Saturday, November 14: Explore collage fundamentals, experiment with materials and techniques, and begin building your compositions. Drawing demonstrations will help you prepare for the next day's projects.

Day 2 – Sunday, November 15: Build on your collages by incorporating drawing, painting, and additional mixed media elements to bring your artwork to life.

Throughout the workshop, you'll receive personalized, one-on-one guidance tailored to your experience and artistic interests. Whether you enjoy portraits, landscapes, still lifes, figures, or abstract art, you'll have the freedom to explore your own creative direction.

No strict rules, just two days of artistic discovery, experimentation, and creativity!

All skill levels are welcome.

Important: Registration covers both Saturday and Sunday.

What to Bring: 

Please bring a bagged lunch and a table covering or drop cloth on both days. Participants are also encouraged to bring previous artwork they may wish to incorporate into their collages.
